Building Effective Crisis Communications for Disaster Recovery

This study evaluates public relations campaigns launched by the Chinese government to facilitate long-term disaster recovery after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. Theory of Discourse of Renewal is employed to study how the Chinese government utilized communication to help communities recover from disaster, and promote community growth.

Acest studiu evalueaza campaniile de relatii publice lansate de guvernul chinez pentru a facilita recuperarea pe termen lung a dezastrelor dupa cutremurul din Wenchuan din 2008. Teoria discursului reinnoirii este folosita pentru a studia modul in care guvernul chinez a folosit comunicarea pentru a ajuta comunitatile sa se recupereze dupa dezastre si pentru a promova cresterea comunitatii.
