Campaigning in Europe for a Free Indonesia

Offering important new understandings of the Indonesian independence struggle, this fine study describes how nationalist students based in the Netherlands spread across Europe in the interwar years. Seeking the end of Dutch rule, they interacted with other anticolonial movements and in time helped bring a political awakening of Indonesian elites.
