Victor Frankenstein driven by the mad dream of creating his own creature, experiments with alchemy and science to build a monster stitched together from dead remains. Once the creature becomes a living breathing articulate entity, it turns on its maker and the novel darkens into tragedy.

Victor Frankenstein, manat de visul nebunesc de a-si crea propria creatura, experimenteaza cu alchimia si stiinta pentru a construi un monstru confectionat din ramasite moarte. Odata ce creatura devine o entitate vie, articulata si respirand, se intoarce impotriva creatorului sau, iar romanul se intuneca intr-o tragedie.
