In these stories, the author renders the bizarre normal and the absurd hilarious, from the eerily "real", almost holographic evocations of historical figures, to overtelevised game-show hosts and late-night comedians. In the title story, punk nihilism meets Young Republicanism.

In aceste povestiri, autorul reda bizarul normal si absurdul hilar, de la evocarile stranii de ,,reale", aproape holografice ale unor personaje istorice, la gazdele de emisiuni TV supra-televizate si comediantii de emisiuni nocturne. In povestirea care da titlul cartii, nihilismul punk se intalneste cu republicanismul tanar.
