The Iberian Apollonius of Tyre

The Iberian Apollonius of Tyre includes the poem The Book of Apollonius, a creative and Christianized adaptation, and the prose Life and History of King Apollonius, a highly literal translation of the Latin Gesta Romanorum. This volume presents new editions and English translations of these two medieval Spanish versions of the ancient legend.

Ibericul Apollonius din Tir include poemul Cartea lui Apollonius, o adaptare creativa si crestinizata, si proza Viata si istoria regelui Apollonius, o traducere extrem de literala a Gesta Romanorum latina. Acest volum prezinta noi editii si traduceri in engleza ale acestor doua versiuni medievale spaniole ale legendei antice.
