Iliad, Volume I

The Iliad and the Odyssey of Homer (eighth century BC) are the two oldest European epic poems. The former tells of Achilles’ anger over an insult to his honor during the Trojan War, and of its consequences for the Achaeans, the Trojans, and Achilles himself.

Iliada si Odiseea lui Homer (secolul al VIII-lea i.Hr.) sunt cele mai vechi doua poeme epice europene. Prima povesteste despre mania lui Ahile din cauza unei insulte aduse onoarei sale in timpul razboiului troian si despre consecintele acesteia pentru ahei, troieni si chiar pentru Ahile insusi.
