Seven Gothic Tales

A collection of seven tales, whose settings range from Tuscany and Elsinore, to a dhow on its way from Lamu to Zanzibar. It is shot through with themes of love and desire - from the maiden lady who now believes herself to have been the grand courtesan of her time to the Count whose wife is so jealous that she cannot bear him to admire her jewels.

O colectie de sapte povestiri, ale caror decoruri variaza de la Toscana si Elsinore, pana la un dhow in drumul sau de la Lamu la Zanzibar. Este strabatuta de teme de dragoste si dorinta - de la domnisoara care acum se crede marea curtezana a timpului ei, pana la Contele a carui sotie este atat de geloasa incat nu suporta sa-l admire bijuteriile.
